The Patrick Leahy Farm to School Program helps child nutrition program operators incorporate local foods in the National School Lunch Program, the Summer Food Service Program the Child and Adult Care Food Program and all associated programs. In addition, USDA staff work with tribal communities by promoting food sovereignty and the integration of traditional food ways into tribal meal programs.

WV Farm to School Alliance
Sharing institutional knowledge, current ongoing initiatives and best practices from Farm to School experiences across the state, this network seeks to set the foundation toward developing a holistic and robust farm to school system in West Virginia.
The WV Farm to School Alliance will be restarting in 2025. More information will be available in the coming months.

National Farm to School Network is an information, advocacy and networking hub for communities working to bring local food sourcing and food and agriculture education into school systems and early care and education environments.

School Gardens in West Virginia
The School Gardens List is a live, collaborative list designed to connect educators, faculty, volunteers, parents, and community members with school gardens in their area.
This list will be updated annually to maintain the most accurate information.
